NEW ORDER COFFEE ROASTERS
MON-FRI: 7AM-6PM; SAT: 8AM-6PM; SUN: 9AM-6PM
(THEY MAY EXTEND THEIR HOURS)
anyone who knows me knows i love coffee shops. when i need to optimize productivity and work quality, i'm very selective about the environment that i choose to be in. with that being said, i truly fell in love with new order coffee on woodward in detroit. from the staff to the coffee to the natural light and overall aesthetic, this place is easily one of the reasons i've been able to spend long hours studying or blogging with no problem. i've taken two full gmat practice tests there; i've written over half of my blog posts there; i met some really awesome people including their staff; i drank some really cool drinks (like the captain crunch latte or m&m hot chocolate). anybody looking for a place to get a lot of work done, enjoy some great coffee or meet with friends should give this new gem a try. like & follow them on facebook & instagram!
BROME MODERN EATERY/BALENCE BAR
SUN-THURS: 11AM-10PM; FRI/SAT: 11AM-11PM
i've ordered and enjoyed brome's farmer's market salad every single day this week, and will be on my way there shortly to get it again! this place is easily my favorite place to eat, and it helps that i can post up there for hours studying or blogging. the natural lighting, great service, cleanliness and overall positive vibes make it so hard to say no. brome has become a must-try and is especially known for its delicious, non-gmo and grass fed burgers, shakes and fries. recently, brome opened its balance bar, with a full menu 100% organic, cold pressed juices, smoothies and mocktails. i highly recommend the arabian coffee house, or the scarlet glow. brome will also be opening another location in downtown detroit soon.
mon-fri: 8AM-6PM; sat: 10am-3pm; sun: 11am-3pm
i love drinking cold-pressed juice and i especially enjoy going on juice cleanses, where i only consume all-natural juices for a short period of time (1-3 days). i've tried several different juice places, including places in california, and drought is my favorite by far. while their juices are slightly more expensive than their counterparts, drought's quality, portions and recipes account for the price difference. my favorite things to get from drought are their pear/cayenne pepper juice, their immunity potion and their delicious shakes.
